Save Energy on iPhone and Extend its Battery Life

Since Apple iPhone as an useful smartphone has capabilities to function as a mini computer and people are using it for many purposes, almost everyone complains about its battery life which usually lasts 2 or 3 days.

In this post, I'm gonna share some tips with you to save energy on iPhone battery. By using these tips, my iPhone's battery lasts 5 days after a full charge.

Turn off the Wi-Fi
Turn Wi-Fi radio when you are not online. iPhone Wi-Fi radio keeps scanning every few seconds, this uses lots of energy. You can also turn off Bluetooth, GPS and 3G besides of Wi-Fi.

Lower the screen brightness
The brighter the more energy wasting. Lower down the backlight.
You can also choose wallpapers that are not very bright.

Disable vibrate
This is also killer, disable it when you don't need it.

Avoid using camera flash
iPhone's - especially iPhone 4's camera is fast, you don't need to use flash when your environment is bright enough.

Less multitasking
Try to do less multitasking and running apps in background. The more apps you run in background the more energy you use to keep it running.

Email checking
Check your email not every few second. Fetch new email less frequently.

Turn it down
Turn down your ringtone and the general volume. You can also turn off some sound alerts which are in Sounds setting - like Sent Mail, Lock Sounds or Keyboard Clicks.

Track your battery life
Turn on the Battery Percentage option which located in Setting > Usage. It shows you the percentage of your remaining battery on top bar.
